GRCB History

1. In November 1952, the first rural credit cooperative in Guangzhou was established.

2. In October 2006, Guangzhou Rural Credit Cooperative Union was established and its corporate reform into a unified legal person was completed.

3. In December 2009, Guangzhou Rural Credit Cooperative Union was restructured and Guangzhou Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. was incorporated.

4. In December 2013, the first sub-branch of GRCB outside Guangzhou, Heyuan Dongyuan Sub-branch, was officially opened.

5. In December 2014, Zhujiang Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of GRCB, was officially opened. It was the first financial leasing company held by a rural commercial bank in Guangdong Province. Qingyuan Branch, the first GRCB branch outside Guangzhou, was officially opened.

6. In June 2017, GRCB was Officially listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 1551.hk), becoming the first listed banking institution in Guangzhou and the first listed local banking institution in Guangdong.

7. In December 2017, Zhuzhou Zhujiang Rural Commercial Bank was officially opened in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. With investment and shares in the new bank, GRCB also played a part in its restructuring.

8. In December 2019, the Credit Card Center was officially established, making GRCB the first rural commercial bank in China to have received the license for credit card franchise.

9. In June 2020, Chaozhou Rural Commercial Bank, Nanxiong Rural Commercial Bank and Shaoguan Rural Commercial Bank were all officially opened, with GRCB serving as a strategic investor and shareholder. GRCB successfully completed the work of supporting the restructuring of six agricultural cooperatives to transform into rural commercial banks.

10. In September 2020, the Group's total assets exceeded the mark of RMB trillion, with its comprehensive strength reaching a new level.
